Joy and Peace in Believing

This is a sermon by Alexander Maclaren (1826-1910).  He was pastor of Union Chapel in Manchester, England for 45 years.  From his ministry there, he became known as 'the prince of expository preachers.'

The apostle Paul uttered this prayer for the Christians at Rome: "The God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit" (Rom 15:13).  Amidst the challenges confronting God's people, the Christian's joy and peace and hope can wane.  The insights Maclaren shares in this sermon will be welcomed by all who find themselves in the category of struggling saints.

The sermon is available in a printed 8-page (4.25" x 7..00") sermon tract free of charge.  It can also be read and shared online.
